LBC News update - Sierra Leone

As part of our Let’s Boycott Christmas campaign, we partnered with EduCaid in Sierra Leone, an educational network that works both to educate students in need, and teachers, to help tackle the issue of education provision on multiple fronts.

We first learnt of EduCaid through Chloe Lewis, who spoke to us earlier this month about the impact that all of your donations has had for the organisation, and its children.

“This [donation] covered the main costs for 7 kids for the year & enabled them to participate in day-to-day school as well as events such as the maths and language fairs that are big collaborative events with visiting schools.”

“[However] I think that doesn’t really tell the story of what happened this year. It’s been an incredibly destabilising time with reactions to the pandemic and the massive cuts to charities’ income so your timely donation helped provide stability and helped secure us in a very difficult time... I can’t tell you how grateful we are for the relationship and the generosity you’ve shown.”

These words are another excellent reminder of why we started the LBC campaign in the first place!

We are grateful to Chloe for coming to speak to us, and cannot wait to find out more!

There is still much to be done but with your help all things are possible!
