Visit to Linklaters LLP

A group of young leaders visited Linklaters law firm in the city for a career insight day. It was both interesting and engaging from the warm welcome and ‘wow-factor’ of the building through to the amazing tour that seemed to encapsulate a small village.

Our young leaders explored the multiplicity of career options and were astounded to discover that only 50% of the employment opportunities cover law. Our students stated, “it’s so stylish and slick” and “even the security staff have style!” They really enjoyed networking, meeting both legal and non-legal staff.

Lavanya Thavarajah who organised the day said “the session went very well, the students had done their research about the firm and they also all asked great questions during the speed networking. I was very impressed with their enthusiasm and it clearly meant a lot to them all to experience this office trip”.

Linklaters has supported EYLA for many years in different capacities including governance, funding our employability skills programmes, providing volunteers to assist with career insight presentations, CV writing and mock interviews. We very much value this partnership and appreciate the volunteers’ time and expertise.
