Donnell’s Gold Award!

Donnell Bowes, one of our scholars alumni, popped back from the USA to be presented with his Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award by Carol Kirkwood at a Buckingham Palace Garden Party, in the presence of HRH Princess Eugenie of York, HRH The Earl of Wessex and HRH The Countess of Wessex.

Donnell came to Eastside from Westside Young Leaders’ Academy to join our scholars programme. He was in our first cohort of Royal SpringBoard pupils in 2013, going on to complete his schooling at King Edward’s, Witley, from where he gained a sports scholarship to Harding University in the USA.

Congratulations Donnell, you are a star and a great ambassador for EYLA, Royal SpringBoard and King Edward’s Witley.
