Lancing Summer School
Lancing Summer School
For one week in August, 24 Eastside young leaders and staff were given the treat of the picturesque grounds of Lancing College for a summer adventure.
They enjoyed the stillness of the countryside, the school farm, an entire boarding house and a fun-packed daily schedule simulating the life of a boarder; even Omar Pierre-Williams became a deputy housemaster for a week.
Full of excitement, they charged through a week of netball, football, swimming, drama, electronics, budgeting, metacognition and more.
They visited the newly refurbished iconic chapel, greeted by Father Richard, who talked passionately about the chapel's history.
To close a superb week, the young leaders ate pizza on the beach and melted marshmallows by an open fire; a breath taking week which will be cherished for life.
