Eastside Young Leaders in Wales speaking Welsh!

For the first time in its history, Urdd Gobaith Cymru this year launched its annual Peace and Goodwill Message beyond Wales.

On 17 May 2019 a group of Urdd members and pupils from Ysgol Gyfun Plasmawr travelled to London as part of a new partnership with Eastside Young Leaders Academy (EYLA) in East London.

This year the message was created by Bwrdd Syr IfanC (the Urdd's Youth Forum) with 'Voice' as its theme to highlight the increase in violent crimes and to challenge politicians to do more to prevent these crimes.

On 28th May a group of Young Leaders travelled from East London to Cardiff Bay to join Urdd members at their Eisteddfod festival - and they learned Welsh!
